Is My Knee Supposed To Look Like That?

So I have does this wall rail behind Billy's apartment before and landed it but the picture last time didnt quite turn out, so I figured I would try it again no sweat...

This is where I went wrong.

After a couple of tries and a couple scuffed shoulders from hitting the wall I thought I had it so I went for it. I was about 4ft from the end of the rail and came off early. Usually that is no big deal, I just land on the stairs and try again. This time my feet slid out from under me my knee hit one stair and my hip hit another, while I slid down the remaing stairs dragging my arm. The pics below are two different tries at it and the bottom one was right after I fell, Before I realized my knee was swelling in an unhuman like way. Flex it out bro!

Michael Jackson died Thursday after being rushed unconscious and not breathing to a Los Angeles hospital, the Los Angeles Times and TMZ reported.
Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call at 12:26 p.m. Jackson, 50, was not breathing when they arrived.
The parademics performed CPR on the way to the hospital, the paper said. A member of the Jackson family said his brothers and mother were on their way to see him. "[He's in] really bad shape," a family member told TMZ.
The cause of his death was unknown. His spokesman denied reports he had cancer just last month, asserting Jacko "is in the best of health."
The bizarre, scandal-plagued "Thriller" star had been trying to make a comeback in recent months.
He had 50 sold-out concerts planned for London later this summer. His death capped a life of superstardom and scandal. The music legend burst onto the pop scene as a child star with the Jackson 5 nearly four decades ago.
Once a sure-fire hit machine, he still holds the record for the biggest-selling album with "Thriller." He also wowed fans with monster hits like "Billie Jean" and "Rock With You."
Millions of fans imitated his famed moonwalk dance and he was known worldwide as the Gloved One for his trademark handwear. But personal and professional woes have eclipsed his talent for years.
He was acquitted in 2005 of molesting a young fan at his Neverland Ranch and caused an uproar by dangling one of his three children out of a Berlin hotel window in 2002. His latest recordings suffered from tepid sales and a rumored comeback album never materialized.
Jackson's first wife was Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis, whom he married in 1994. It was a match made in showbiz heaven but they split less than two years later. He later married Australian Debbie Rowe and they had two children, Prince, 12 and Paris, 11.
A third child, Prince Michael II, was reportedly born with the help of an anonymous surrogate mother.
Jackson had faced serious financial problems in recent years as sales wilted.

Jackson moved with his kids to Bahrain in the Persian Gulf after his molestation trial, but returned to Los Angeles in recent months.

Not In A Million Years

After much debate and the Causey trip getting all mixed up, somehow on Thursday night i found myself headed south to Bryce Canyon National Park. Bob and I were in a frantic rush that night trying to get packed since we had a last minute extravaganza to go get Sophie Schwinn Stingray (see previous blog). We ended up getting done in about 15 minutes and then headed straight for the ward pray church. We met up with Sophie Barth there (yes the real Sophie. And yes Sophie Schwinn was named after miss lovely Sophie Barth) paid for the trip, said a prayer, and headed to del taco since we were waiting for Katie Pridgen. When we got to Kate's house, which by the way is by far the most amazing house ever, Kate's legs were so incredibly sunburn from the dreaded leg tanner.Beware.They match her shirt.

While we were waiting for Kate to get all of her stuff packed in the car bob caught me preparing for a long drive.

We hit loads of traffic trying to get out of slc because of a terrible car crash. A jeep had rolled comletely over on I-15 where they had it down to two lanes. When we got up next to the jeep it was completely smashed in! Super Crazy. We got free from traffic and things went smoothly... well pretty smooth except as shown in the picture above i do tend to have a blatter problem haha. We ended up getting into camp super late that night around 2am. Most everyone was still up and causing problems. Zach Apparently had been trying to get firewood by breakind down a tree and it all turned out bad.

Bob and I set up our tent in the dark and decided to hit the sack. Sleeping wasnt the easiest task... between Neil Snoring unhumanly loud and the lady down the road with the family screaming at our group to go to bed, sleeping was near in impossible. Made it through the night and woke up extra early for a day filled with fun adventures. Also the park rangers were out because of all the problems we caused the night before.... repercussions... 10pm curfew haha

Good Morning Handy Camper!

I first off got my camera to document activities... i realized in the rush to get packed i had left not only my battery on my charger but my memory card on my desk as well. Welp there goes my picture taking oppertunities haha. So this is part of the reason it has taken me so long to get this post up. Anyway we had breakfast and got right into our first activity! Egg toss!!! You know Bob and i won. Free Cold Stone 4 life!... or till our 7 dollar gif card runs out.

Next came the human sling shot and for those of you who dont know what this is... it is an accident waiting to happen is what it is haha. The girls weren't so cordinated with it and i am pretty sure they ran into each other every time haha. Made for great entertainment though.

After we had messed around with the human sling shot we still had a couple hours to kill before we headed out on our real hike. So we decided a pre-hike and photoshoot was most necessary.

After pre-hike/photoshoot we hung around, played some catch, ate some lunch, and then set out on our real hike. Group group group 4. For those of you that were there you will get that haha.

Dance Moves Anyone!

While we were hiking down the trail that led into the canyon we had one of the most perfect experiences. We walked passed a group of people and a lady asks "Who are you guys here for?" Then as she reads our matching t-shirts " Pathway to Descipleship... OH THERE HERE FOR GAWD!!!" haha only response i could come up with is BLOG IT!!! haha.

When we got back from the hike we were poop'd so Bob, Kate, and myself made a bed in the back of Neil's truck and took a nap. Seriously the best decision all camp! When we woke up we were starving and dinner was ready! The linger longer committee far out did themselves on this one! Pulled pork sandwiches, salads or all sort, watermelon, and delicious cookies!!! I guess you could say we were all happy campers. Bishop especially was enjoying his dinner.

After we had all stuffed ourselves to the brim with this most delicious meal we had a great spiritual fireside and some activities. These last pictures are from some of the activities. Over all it was a most amazing trip. I am glad i did church camp 2009.

Sophie Schwinn Stingray

So as i am doing my daily ritual of checking my facebook and doing a little chatting with bob, he sends me this message saying im buying a stingray you gotta check it out! Right after, and before i have time to check out what he is talking about i get a call from him asking if i am down to head north to Logan to buy this bike. Of course i was down and so 15 minutes and a shower later bob and i headed north. When we got to Brigham City we decided Wingers was a must, so we got our wing on. When we get through Logan canyon we are trying to find this guys house and somehow ended up at a 000 cordinate... which i find extremely odd. Even with Logan's weird cordinate system and map quest not being so clear we happened to find our way to the old home of miss sophie schwinn stingray... she is beautiful and Bob is a proud new owner. After picking her up it was a mad dash to get home and try to pack in about 15 mintures for Chruch Camp at Bryce Canyon.

Beast and i set out on another photo adventure last night. Since we are both aspiring to become some sort of photographers we work great together. We jumped on the peddle bikes and put the peddle to the metal all throughout salt lake. Made a few cool stops at places and here is some of the outcome.

Holbrook Canyon Hike

Mike and I went out for a great hike which almost fell through. Luckily it didn't because it became one of the best days ever. Not only did we get to meet the one and only Colonel Jack but we had to ride tandum up to the canyon on my motorcycle. But if that wasn't enough mike's camelback broke and he had poweraid running down his back. I thought it was pretty funny but i don't think he found it too amusing. Then we ended up passing Sami's ex-boyfriend who was pulled over by a cop. Mike gave the queerest wave i have ever seen. Nothing like getting taunted by two dudes riding tandum on a motorcycle. We ended up taking the road less traveled on our hike or should i said the road never been traveled on our hike and ended up in some pretty thick shrubs but we made it clear to the top and had a wonderful view. All and all it was a pretty amazing day.

Colonel Jack Tueller

As we pull into the parking lot for our long awaited hike, the sound of smooth jazz brightens up my soul. The back hatch of an older looking van is up and Colonel Jack is sitting in open sliding door letting lifes cares go with his trumpet. Call if fate, destiny, or call it whatever you call it but I knew from the second we pulled in i needed to meet Col. Jack. As soon as the bike was parked we went straightway over to Col. Jack, his first reply was " I sure hope I didn't bother you boys". We re-assured him he did no such thing and that we were blessed to be able to hear his wonderful trumpet playing. He told us we both had nice lips, I was a tacken a back for a moment until he said "You both would be great trumpet players." Mike told him he played in high school. Col. Jack told us about how he played in college and one night while he was playing for the class audience he caught eyes with a beautiful young lady. AS he walked up to her he discribed her in the most poetic way i have ever heard anything described in my life " Her eyes were dark, skin was pure, and her lips were full. When i told her she had nice lips she said so do you, me being the sophmore i was said would ya like to try, and we spent the rest of the night together" Col. Jack and his lovely wife were married the night before he was deployed for World War II. The temple was closed, but he ended up finding the temple president and he opened up the temple for them that night to have a special wedding there that night. Since then Col. Jack and his Wife have been married for 63 years. His wife suffers from alzheimers, and forgets who he is daily. He told us he has taken it upon himself to be by her side for as long as he lives. He was the most faithful loving man i have ever met. When he told us of his war stories that could haunt the dreams of just about any man he said if i had to go to war or deal with my wife being sick again i would go to war any day. He was getting choked up at this point and so was i, my heart broke for him. We ended up just having a little bit of small chat and he gave us his card and said "when you boys get married i want to play the trumpet at your wedding, i will do it for free... heck i'll pay you to let me" haha we chuckled and as much as we hated to leave and let the smooth jazz which was playing in the background the whole time fade we said our goodbyes, got a picture with Col. Jack, and headed up the mountain. I will never forget my good friend Col. Jack.

Lately i have been engulfed in reading this book by Sheri Dew called No One Can Take Your Place. I also have the wonderful privilege of having Sister Sheri Dew as my institute teacher. As i have started reading this book it has given me great insites on things i am studying at the moment and has wonderful scriptural references. So i am recomending it to all.

Graduation Photoshoot

On Thursday Whit, Claude, and Myself went out on a photoshoot for her graduation photos. Started out at Memory Grove, then i took them to some of what i consider "fun" spots. They were a little scared, but i quite enjoyed the hispanic guys yelling let me do er' man! haha oh yeah and we saw a guy mowing a field in just a speedo. Its a shame i didn't have my camera out for that.

So last night i went for a bike ride to try to get habored energy out from having a bum ankle. While i was puttin' the pedal to the metal i saw flashing lights behind me... yup the po po got me for speeding... on my peddle bike! No ticket thankfully. Peddle to the Metal!
